مہنگے جوتے
سابق وزیراعظم پاکستان ذوالفقار علی بھٹو ایک بہت بڑے جلسے سے خطاب کر رہے تھے کہ دورانِ تقریر کسی دل جلے مخالف نے احتجاجاً اپنا جوتا اُونچا کر کے ہوا میں لہرا دیا۔
مقصد یہ تھا کہ بھٹو احتجاج کو سمجھ لیں۔ جیسے ہی بھٹو کی نظر جوتے پر پڑی
انھوں نے تقریر کے دوران ہی کہا۔
’’ہاں، ہاں میں سمجھ گیا، جوتے مہنگے ہو گئے ہیں۔
سدِ باب کے لیے ضروری اقدامات کیے جائیں گے۔‘‘

Expensive shoes:
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was addressing a large gathering when during his speech an ardent opponent raised his shoe in protest and waved it in the air. The point was to make Bhutto understand the protest. As soon as Bhutto’s eyes fell on the shoes, he said during the speech.
“Yes, yes, I understand, shoes have become expensive. Necessary steps will be taken to prevent this. ”
