Antonio Guterres wants a positive change
in matters regarding Imran Khan
The UN panel’s recommendations for the immediate release of PTI
founder were made by an independent panel, the spokesperson said.
New York (Monitoring Cell) A day after the report of the United Nations
working group regarding the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan,
the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres,
has said that he will discuss the issues regarding the founder of PTI.
And want a positive change in the situation.
When Stephen Dujarric, the spokesperson of
UN chief Antonio Guterres, was asked at a press conference a day ago
whether he supports the recommendations of the UN group to
immediately release the founding PTI, he said:
He replied that these were the recommendations of an independent panel.
He said that we want to see the current political situation
as well as the current situation of Imran Khan
changing in a more positive way.
Imran Khan has been serving his sentence in
Adiala Jail for almost a year in the Iddat case, the sentences against him
were suspended in two Tosha Khana cases,
while the Islamabad High Court also acquitted him in the cipher case.
